Katie Beth & Luke 3.11.2017
Katie Beth and Luke have a love that lights up a whole room. I'm 98% sure their cheeks began hurting on wedding day even before photos began because they were smiling so much. The way they smile and laugh around one another, you'd swear they have a secret that only the two of them know.
When flurries were falling on wedding day, I was concerned I'd show up to KB's Chase Park Plaza suite to an unhappy or disappointed bride. Instead, she was dancing around with her sisters and mom, showing off the Ruby Red Slippers she'd wear to marry her true love Luke. She wasn't the least bit bummed that the weather wasn't "perfect" and was just ready to get to the First Look already and see her groom. Katie Beth always looks amazing, but Emily Miller really had her looking her absolute best on the most exciting day of her life.
Fast forward to an amazing evening at the Boo Cat Club, where KB & Luke said "YES" to a life together in the lower level "Catacombs" (which the owners of the Boo Cat Club think used to be a legitimate speakeasy) and then danced all night in the Theatre, where Tennessee Williams both produced plays and performed on stage.
Videographers Kinetic Visuals wowed Katie Beth and Luke's guests when they premiered their same-day editing package and the new Mr. and Mrs. sat surrounded by their loved ones reliving each moment of their wedding day. There's really nothing like witnessing newlyweds watching moments from their wedding day on camera only hours and mere minutes after they've passed with everyone they hold dear in the room with them. It was so special!
After working with awesome couples like KB and Luke, I'm often lucky enough to stay in touch as they embark on their new journey together as a married couple. Katie Beth is pretty much the queen of Snapchat, and I consider myself #blessed to receive hilarious snaps of her watching Trolls for the 5th time, or the Snickers she packed for she and Luke's honeymoon hiking the Inca Trail in Peru (don't worry, the duo also brought Clif Bars and Trail Mix. A girl needs her Snickers, okay? You're not you when you're hungry). I love that during honeymoon prep, Katie Beth was joking that she wasn't cut out for the long hike ahead but also making a point that if her marriage begins with making the trek to Machu Picchu, she and Luke will have a strong foundation for their life ahead together. If they can do that, they can do anything! Spoiler alert: they did make it, all in one piece too!

The newlyweds just recently bought a pink plantation home in Mint Hill, North Carolina and are already serving up sweet tea to visitors near and far. If that's not so them I don't know what is. Congratulations to The Mitchells!
