SGO Tip Tuesday: Dear fur-parents:
If you know me or follow me on Snapchat, you know my dog Bear is my obsession.
He is currently sitting with his chin on my knee as I write this post. Lap dog? No. 75 pounds of cuteness? Yes. I truly can't imagine my life without him, which brings me to write this incredibly excessive blog post.
Bear Boy is a huge part of my life, and I know I am not alone - most of my friends and family members either have a dog or wish they did. Some have even become adopted dog-parents, not by choice but because they're dating someone with an adorable pup (looking at you, Matt! I know you love BB just as much as I do)!
Many people share a dog with their significant other and they often wonder if including their dog in their wedding is doable. I'm all for a puppy ringbearer, but this blog post is for those couples that laugh hysterically at the thought and say, "Never in our wildest dreams - that dog would ruin everything in a heartbeat!".
Here are 4 ways to include your furchild in your wedding day, without them actually being present for the wedding itself: 1. Doggie Dessert
Whether you're serving up puppy chow or cookies with your favorite mutt's mugshot front and center, your guests will eat it up!
Just make sure not to serve a dessert made for dogs. Now THAT would be bad to the bone.
Avery is BELOVED by her furparents Katie and Chris, who were married in October at the Boo Cat Club. Katie had a floral garland created just for this lil lady, and the sweet family of three took photos between the ceremony and the reception at a park in town. Avery is #blessed to have such adoring owners. I mean, look at those gorgeous flowers by Les Bouquets she got to wear!

3. Bow Wow Booze
Name a signature drink after your pup! Below is a recipe for a "Salty Dog": the only rule is you are required come up with your own name in honor of your four-legged friend!
How to make it:
1.5 oz gin or vodka
3 oz grapefruit juice
Rim a glass with salt and fill the glass with ice. Add booze and grapefruit juice. Garnish and viola! You've got a Salty Dog.
