Nice to Meet Ya!
I've wanted to be a wedding planner since the first time I watched Father of The Bride. Cozied up in PJs with my mom and a big bowl of popcorn, I fell in love with the soundtrack, the acting, and most of all...The One And Only Franck Eggelhoffer. Yes, Martin Short's performance as an enthusiastic and sassy Wedding Coordinator inspired my dreams to be a future wedding industry pro. I have never been the type to plan out every last detail of my future wedding, but my fascination with organization and pretty things styled to a 'T' has been with me since the days of decorating the boring day planner my high school provided us on the first day of school with my own designs, photos, and doodles (sorry Webster Groves, I still love ya).
Thanks to my lovely teachers and parents constantly reminding me, I knew the importance of an internship. In hopes to 1) Follow my dream of becoming a wedding planner and 2) Find out if I'm even cut out for the job, I set out in 2013 to find an internship that would change my life for the better. Thanks to an amazing wedding planning company based in Los Angeles called Orange Blossom Special Events, weddings every weekend + many happy tears + LOTS of learning from seasoned Cali-chic professionals + more Sprinkles cupcakes than one girl should ever consume = one incredible summer of a lifetime that lit the path and a fire within me to become the best wedding planner I could possibly be.
